Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider

Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. 

Who should take this course?

The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

 CPR & AED 

Heartsaver CPR AED teaches participants how to perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. Based on the latest American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Who should take this course?

The Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs an OSHA-compliant course completion card for CPR training—or anyone who simply wants to be ready to respond in an emergency.

 First Aid

The Heartsaver First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.

Who should take this course?

Heartsaver First Aid is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a first aid training to meet job, regulatory, or licensing requirements. Always confirm with your employer which format is accepted.

 CPR & AED First Aid

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches participants to provide first aid, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. Based on the latest American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

 Pediatric First Aid CPR & AED

Be ready to protect the children in your care. This course teaches you how to respond quickly to illnesses and injuries in infants and children until professional help arrives. Training reflects the latest science and guidance from the American Heart Association.

Who should take this course?

The American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is for anyone responsible for the care and safety of children and infants, especially those who may need to respond in an emergency before professional help arrives.

When it comes to CPR and first aid training, hands-on experience is essential. That's why we offer the convenience of visiting your location rather than requiring you visit us. When you schedule a private on-site training appointment in your place of employment or in you home, we will arrive with manikins and student workbooks for every participant, and teach you how to prepare for emergency situations. ​

 Spanish First Aid CPR & AED

The Spanish course is tailored to meet OSHA requirements, providing essential training in first aid basics along with CPR and AED skills for adults, children, and infants This comprehensive program ensures that participants are well-pre to respond effectively in emergencies. Join us to gain the vital skills needed to save lives and promote safety in your community.

Restorative Nursing Program

The RNA is an expanded role of the Certified Nursing Assistant. RNA's direct or assist in restorative techniques, exercise activities and the use of assistive devices. A restorative nurse assistant will coordinate self-help training, evaluate progress and document changes daily. â€‹

Upon completion of the 16 hour course you will receive:

  • 8 Hr of CDPH approved CEUS

  • QCHF RNA Certification

  • QCHF RNA Pin

  • Placement on the RNA Registry, managed by QCHF

BLS Instructor course

“This American Heart Association (AHA)-approved course prepares you to teach BLS and Heartsaver courses. The AHA requires candidates to hold a current BLS Provider certification, complete the Instructor Essentials online course, and attend an instructor-led class. Once you’re monitored teaching, you’ll be certified to instruct others in CPR and First Aid, empowering you to shape future life-savers.”
